thinkticket

They were called 'THINK' and as the ticket says,
it was their first ever public gig on 7th January 1966 at Cosham Police Station

From Marc Iwasthere.
Barry Jakeman was (is?) in the police. Makes sense, as this is Police Cadet dance. Maybe the other band members were in the police too?
Ten or twelve years ago Barry phoned me and asked me to sit in with his new band at a rehearsal in The Forest of Bere pub in Denmead, Can t remember the band name. He was playing guitar at that time, not drums and they had a girl singer who also bred bull mastiffs.
From Alan Deadman
Barry Jakeman was is the Police, as was Alan Deadman. The other three members were not. I was with Barry, at the practice you mention, and he does indeed now play guitar. The band then was called Out of the Blue . We played gigs at the Forest of Bere Pub. and at other venues.
The Lead singer was Paula (I can t remember here surname) The others were Cliff Twitcher on drums, Alan Deadman, now on Bass, Not sure who was lead guitarist possibly Ian Woodcock. We also had a Keyboard Player .a young lad Pete.
